Enjoying the new outdoor classroom

-Spelling Words are in the red folder. We are using List 3. Feel free to get a head start. We will take a pretest on Tuesday, and the final test on Friday (NO SCHOOL FRIDAY-MONDAY).

-Another way students can access some of the information we use at school is through their Google Classroom. Students have been learning how to login to their Google accounts, and then can find their google classroom

-Memory work for next week is the 1st and 2nd Commandment and the meaning. This is the first time students have worked on the meaning of the Commandments. Students may say one commandment at a time, but they need to say the meaning with the commandment. We should fear and love God...

-Students are responsible to read books at home, and then take an AR test when they have finished the book. More info will be shared on Tuesday, but I recommend reading 15 minutes a night to help reach the AR goal.

-September 29th we are going to the St. Louis Aquarium. I have asked for drivers, and I will be informing the drivers by the end of the weekend. Put it on your calendar, as we get to celebrate Science!

-Thanks for the great first week. I CAN'T WAIT for our first full week of school next week.

-Spelling Words are in the red folder. We are using List 1. Feel free to get a head start. We will take a pretest on Monday, and the final test on Friday. There is a sheet of paper that parents do not need to return that talks about spelling. However that sheet of paper will help students if they want to practice spelling at home. -Another important website that you can use at home to access great school practice is clever.com. Students will need to enter the School that they belong to (Zion Lutheran St. Charles, Missouri) and then should be able to access their information by logging in through their google account. I can help everyone on Tuesday, if they have any other questions.

-August 22nd is Orientation Night. You can come to the 6:30, 7:00, or 7:30 timeslot and come meet me. We will discuss school expectations, goals, and excitement for the 4th grade year. See ya Tuesday!
